David Lewis

David Lewis is an English barrister and “AV” rated California attorney.  David spent many years working in large law firms before establishing his own practice and becoming “of counsel” to Rufus-Isaacs, Acland & Grantham, LLP. He has over thirty years of experience, specializing in real estate and business law, with expertise in a wide variety of real estate transactions.  David’s trademarks are a highly pragmatic approach, first-rate negotiating and drafting skills, an ability to close deals using sound business judgment, and a sense of humor.

Lending David represents both lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions such as construction loans and permanent loans, workouts with problem loan situations, deed in lieu transactions and foreclosures

Financing David handles seller financing transactions and earnout agreements, ground leases, and sale and leasebacks

Acquisitions and Dispositions Including like kind exchanges

Leasing David works with both landlords and tenants in all types of leasing, including commercial, industrial, retail and residential leases

Development David works with developers and is familiar with joint ventures, development agreements, AIA construction and consulting agreements
